Get To Know Us

We are Jenna and Joey, a husband and wife duo + owners of The Grazing Table. Charcuterie is the perfect food to bring people together. We began making boards during the beginning of the pandemic, doing our best to create fun intentional moments with the small gatherings that we could have. What began as a hobby of ours quickly became so much more as individuals reached out wanting us to create a board for them! We wanted to create intentional moments and spaces for our guests to enjoy, because ultimately the inspiration for this business was our love for hosting!

Before long, our business was growing to a point where we could no longer operate with just the two of us, we realized it was time to take the next step, opening a brick and mortar store downtown! We specifically chose downtown Kalamazoo because of the diversity and buzzing atmosphere of the Kalamazoo Mall. We are so excited to be a part of all the unique and inspiring businesses that make up this corner of our city.

If you’re new to the Kalamazoo area, you may not know that our building used to be home to a number of other small businesses including Holly’s Grill and Tibbs Brewing. Tibbs Brewing closed about one year prior to our opening. After months of sitting vacant, we had a big job ahead of us to bring life back into the space. That included a lot of cleaning, painting, restoration, and some sizable renovations to make The Grazing Table feel like home. Some of the cosmetic changes we made to the space include: our shiplap wall, resurfacing and staining the bar, and the eye-catching mural painted by our friend, Isabella.

We’ve come a long way since those first few months of making boards as a team of two. Along the way, we’ve learned so much from trial and error, studying/reading, and social media, so we wanted to create a space online that you could learn from as well! Here on the blog, you’ll find educational nuggets on everything from cheese pairings, preparation techniques, and more. And of course, some visual inspiration from the behind the counter of The Grazing Table restaurant. We hope you’ll stick around and if possible join us for a meal or a mocktail at the restaurant soon!
